Big Winner!

I can't believe it!  I won the Cricut Expression 2 from Provo Crafts at the Phoenix Craft Rave last night! They had great raffle drawing prizes, but this was my favorite!  I have wanted one for years. (I tried to blog and post something from my phone, but my phone says it is "still publishing"  so that post may or not make it on here...we will leave that up to the Android and Verizon.  The Rave was AWESOME!  I will post the crafts I made a bit later.  It opened at 2 pm and I finally left about 10:45.  There were so many awesome crafters and ideas!  And SO MUCH GLITTER!  Thank you so much to Cyndi Coon of LovelyLula.com and Kathy Cano-Murillo of CraftyChica.com for hosting this fabulous event!  I can't wait until next year....maybe I will have a table of my own!

Toy Shop

I feel like Santa's elf!  Today my volunteers and I made display boxes for Miracle on 34th Street at Arizona Broadway Theatre.  The bear and doll---I did not make, but the boxes I Photoshoped, printed and created.  Now we just have to do about 8 more AND finish making some other Raggedy Anne and Andy dolls!  Then the costume shop takes over and turns the toys into dancing full size toys!  Don't you just want to go Christmas shopping now?!?!?  )  (NOT!)

Look at this adorable tlittle gift bag! From an envelope! I unfolded it so you can see the folds. The bottom becomes like a box.  The top I cut with deckle scissors.  Punch a couple of holes in the top and close with a ribbon. Cute!

Out With the Old...

I have started cleaning out boxes in our garage.  There are just TOO MANY!  I am sure that if I simplify my life, even in a little way, I will feel so much better.  So I started with a fairly small box.  An old Corndog box.  I found some old cards and fun paper things I made when I used to teach Rubber Stamping classes in Montana.

Okay, Okay, it is time already!

I have been putting this first post off for so long!
At first I couldn't decide on a name for the blog.
Then I kept adding things to my Shutterfly Share Site, but kept staring at my blank dashboard, wondering how I can write anything profound, witty, crafty, and inspiring.....how can I possibly aspire to be as awesome as all the other bloggers I keep reading?  I have finally figured that I have to start somewhere and just jump off this cliff and hope I sail a bit before hitting the ground!

I have just taken a bunch of photos of some of my recent MAKINGS, so will add those when I figure out how.

Please be patient with my bad photography and my clumsy pages....I hope they will evolve as I do!
